My two young daughters are sweet, generous and empathetic. But they can also be downright bossy, conniving, manipulating and mean. I was once a girl too, so I have witnessed how these character traits can be played out in the school playground and it’s not pretty.
The scary thing is, school ground politics, bullying and bitchiness has a greater playing field these days in the world of social media. The arena gets bigger and more unwieldy each day.
So for anyone with young girls in their lives – daughters, nieces, granddaughters, god daughters – you need to read this book. It’s a great insight into how to handle the tricky years of girlhood: the conflicts, the friendships, the Queen Bees of the playground, and boundaries with boys. It’s a helpful tool to empower your girl, to teach her dignity and social adeptness.
P.S. Thank you Melissah for recommending this book to me.
